The Scholar Desk
I once filmed Cooperers in Jamaica hammering a rum barrel together. They sang the Song of the Hammer. I learned this old technique of coopering for this new modern desk. White oak staves support a large racetrack marble top with a hidden support built in underneath. Designed in partnership with the talented Kristen Peña at Kinteriors and named after Kristen’s maiden name - Scholar.
