Payne Dining Table
Hei! That’s howdy in Finnish. Their design language is understated with super simple fine detail - joints have a slight curve to them, inlays mark connections, and the wood is hero. My favorite part of this table is the “x” connection of the leg supports, hand carved.
But a dining table must be dance proof, so the challenge was keeping a thin profile yet making it incredibly solid which I achieved using hidden steel supports inside each leg and embedded within the table top. It passed the dance test!
Black Walnut - flowy grain, Brass inlay, and hidden black steel supports. Finished in Rubio Walnut.
